The brief description of vision 1:

If Peter Grimes is about an individual in relation to their wider society, It is also about nature: the sea, the sky, and man’s dependence on the terrifyingly changeable expressions of the natural world. In the composer’s words, “I wanted to express my awareness of the perpetual struggle of men and women whose livelihood depends on the sea". We are at the mercy of the elements more than ever. I want to feel the size of the sky, the power of the storm, the roar of the waves and the futility of human arrogance. Try playing with scale and explore the role and potential of light and darkness in the telling of the story. The visual world you create will help expose the nature of the relationships within it. You can choose any location and period to make it feel relevant to you and your audience, while staying true to the key elements in the text.

These mood boards are my interpretation of the description.
